PROJECT: Ching Gym West Village

This gym was a very particular situation due to its location, a basement therefore lack or complete absence of natural light or natural environment. As an answer to the situation we developed the design towards a recreation of a natural environment by a ceiling and lighting which is as a forest with canopies of trees as well as openings, this subtle balance between densities and light gives users the sense of a natural and zenithal light, fading the notion of an underground space.
